INDOOR SHOWING... CRAMPED QUARTERS
Now is the time to say good-by to Summer and head for those indoor arenas. Some horses love them and some just hate them. Those that hate them prove it with jigging, shying and general poor behavior. This can cause problems for the owner if it gets out of hand. Close quarters lead to foot stomping both by horses and exhibitors. Tempers get shorter as we think about winter, frozen buckets and blanketing.
It's a good idea if you show in winter (unless you are lucky enough to go to Florida) to think about getting personal liability. It covers both bodily injury to another party as well as property damage to other horses or vehicles or lawns, tack etc. Actually, no matter where you go or where you are it afford peace of mind for about $200-300 for $300,000 limit depending on company. Small price to pay to protect your assets.
